A UNIQUE TREATMENT PROGRAM

Right Turn provides a broad range of evidence-based treatment programs for individuals and families recovering from substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders. This is a peer to peer support group facilitated by Woody Giessmann to assist in the development of coping skills for the family. The group meets on Monday evening at 7 PM. INTERVENTIONS

An intervention is an invitation by family members and friends to assist a person with Substance Use Disorders or Co-occurring Disorders to get help for their issues. These interventions are highly successful and result in a person entering a drug and alcohol or mental health treatment program—learning how to live life without the use of these substances. The purpose of interventions is to coach an individual and their family members through the ways in which their disease is affecting the people they love the most, and get them into the correct level of treatment. With the help of Woody Giessmann, a licensed therapist (LADC-I) and certified intervention specialist (CIP), family and friends are invited to participate in the intervention process. The intervention does not have to be painful, rather it can be the beginning of a new way of living for all those involved.

Goals: Within the 30-day agreement, Woody will provide coaching and training for the family, refer that individual to an appropriate program to meet his or her needs. It is important that the family receive support throughout the intervention process. Woody will continue to work with the program we have chosen and help the family develop a plan to reinforce self-care to support the individual seeking treatment. Woody has worked in the field of Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health since 1993. Call 617-365-9460 if you have questions about Intervention.

Woody Giessmann Credentials: Right Turn was founded in 2003 by Woody Giessmann, former drummer for The Del Fuego’s, an internationally known rock band.
